  • Dr. Moritz Baer - CEO

    Moritz is the founder of Forward Analytics and a world-leading expert and thought leader on transition risk and scenario anylsis for the financial sector. He holds a doctorate from the University of Oxford and holds or previously held multiple affilitations with academica and public and private organisations, including the Oxford Sustainable Finance Group, the Institute for New Economic Thinking at Oxford (INET) and the Bank of England and has advised or led initaitves with governments, central banks, corporations, NGOs, and international institutions.

    He has a track-record bridging innovative academic modelling with the needs of the private sector to create decision relevant tools

  • Andrea Blackman - COO

    Andrea is co-founder of Forward Analytics. Previously she was the Global Head of ESG at Moodys Analytics and has 30 years experience working with banks, asset managers, and technology vendors to build and transform businesses. Applying this wealth of experience to Non-Executive Board roles and company transformation mandates.

    She has a track record building and scaling risk management, data, analytics, and sustainability solutions to serve Financial Institutions. With successful P&L leadership and deep operational experience she brings valuable insight to business transformation in response to regulatory and technology disruption.

  • David Carlin - Advisor

    David Carlin is an acknowledged authority on climate change and its implications for the financial system. He is the founder of D. A. Carlin and Company, an advisor to governments, corporates, and financial institutions on climate and ESG topics. He has authored numerous reports that provide practical tools for financial actors looking to address climate change and has run capacity-building programs for financial institutions and supervisors around the world.

    David was the Head of Risk at UN Environment Programme- Finance Initiative (UNEP FI), where he founded the Risk Centre, a research institute where financial sector actors can explore practical solutions to climate and environmental risks. Over the past years, he has worked with over 100 global banks, investors, and insurers on climate scenarios, climate risk assessments, and climate governance.

  • Mark Almeida - Advisory Board Member

    Until November 2019, Mark was president of Moody’s Analytics since its formation in 2008.

    He oversaw development of the company's business to nearly $2 billion annually, consistently growing revenues at double-digit rates for more than a decade.

  • Dr. Alissa M. Kleinnijenhuis - Chief Scientific Advisor

    Alissa M. Kleinnijenhuis is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Finance at Cornell University, a non-resident fellow at Bruegel, and a RPN member of Sustainable Finance at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR). Kleinnijenhuis advises governments, central banks, corporations, think tanks, and international institutions, including the European Central Bank, the Bank of England, the International Monetary Fund, the African Development Bank, and Fidelity Investments.

    Alissa is the founding editor of the “Handbook of Financial Stress Testing”, which features contributions by leading scholars, public sector officials, and practitioners on the topic of stress testing, and includes a preface by Timothy Geithner and endorsements by Ben Bernanke and Christine Lagarde.
